The Secretary of Finance and Planning of the state of São Paulo has a new project to bring more tax transparency.
The “Sectorial Compliance: The search for tax compliance” project aims to monitor errors and discrepancies in the collection of ICMS so that the companies themselves can regularize themselves without punitive fines.
Also, the project brings representative associations, such as SNIC, closer to the dialogue with the Secretariat to promote initiatives aimed at creating a healthier environment for business in the sectors.
It is currently in the pilot phase, operating in the sectors of NON-metallic Minerals and Machinery and Equipment and has 63 voluntary auditors and tax auditors.
With this new project, the taxpayer will have more opportunities to self-regulate, avoiding punitive fines and will have a direct channel with the Treasury Department through representative Associations. Thus creating a fairer and more transparent environment in the tax field.
