The employees of Ciplan Cimento Planalto S / A will have the opportunity to participate in the 7th Environment Week in the next June 3 to 7, in celebration of World Environment Day, June 5. The activities and lectures are aimed at raising awareness of environmental preservation, both inside and outside the cement plant, especially in the community where the plant is located, in the Fercal administrative region. Among the highlights of the program is the Theater of the Urban Cleaning Service (SLU), which in a comical and pedagogical way, will transmit to the audience the environmental issue with sustainability.
For the CEO of Ciplan, Sérgio Bautz, the time is now. "We are focused on producing cement that will increasingly reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. We participated in the April Cement Technology Roadmap, a document that outlines the main ambitions and guidelines of the cement industry up to 2050. I believe that in order to achieve the levels of improvement in the different performance indicators (KPIs) and the consequent reductions in carbon emissions government, industry and society in general should create a joint agenda of structuring actions in order to accelerate the sustainable transition of the Brazilian cement industry, "said Bautz.
The cement plant has an environmental management that is focused on complying with environmental legislation inside and outside the work environment. "Our evolution in the environmental issue is focused on sustainability. We carry out daily work with our employees in order to raise awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. This seventh edition of the Environment Week is specially designed with activities that awaken the desire to be more of a participant in the enormous effort we make to adapt our condition of industry to the sustainable development of the country, "said Maria Teixeira, environmental manager of Ciplan.
